Morocco’s Atlantic coast works well as a road trip because each stop has a different role: Agadir for services and resorts, Taghazout for surf culture, Tiznit for a historic inland break, and Mirleft–Sidi Ifni for a quieter coastal stretch.
Do not rush the first 50 kilometers
The Agadir–Taghazout area contains enough beaches, cafés and viewpoints to justify several nights before heading farther south.
Use Tiznit as a useful transition
Tiznit adds a cultural stop and practical services before the road continues toward Mirleft and Sidi Ifni.
Stay at least one night on the southern coast
Mirleft and Sidi Ifni are more rewarding when you are not racing back to Agadir the same day. Sunset, local dinners and slower beach exploration are part of the appeal.
Keep beach plans flexible
Tides, swell, wind and access conditions can change. Check locally before committing to isolated beach walks or water activities.
